Passengers Rescued from Stalled Disney World Monorail

All of the passengers are safely off of the Walt Disney World monorail train that broke down Thursday night. Passengers say that the monorail just stopped a few minutes after leaving the Ticket and Transportation Center in the Magic Kingdom parking lot bound for Epcot.

Reedy Creek firefighters and Orange County Fire Rescue worked together to evacuate the train using cherry pickers. Two at a time, about 100 passengers were safely lowered to the ground. The cause of the train's failure is unknown.

On social media, people who drove past the scene said they could smell brakes or some kind of electrical smell.
