American Airlines Flight Attendant Spilled Drinks On The Company's CEO

Talk about a bad day at work. An American Airlines flight attendant was mortified after she spilled a tray of drinks on a passenger in first class. The passenger wasn't just an average air traveler though, he was Doug Parker, the CEO of American Airlines. Maddie Peters, who has never spilled a drink in her four years working as a flight attendant, shared the hilarious and embarrassing story on Instagram.

"I was serving drinks during boarding to the first class cabin," she wrote. "I had a full tray with drinks on it, when the passenger in front of me stops in the aisle and backs up. He bumps into the tray and the drinks go flying."

Peters knew right away who Parker was because the crew had been advised he would be on the flight between Phoenix and Dallas.

"We knew he was going to be on board and had to be on our best behavior," Peters told NBC News.

After getting cleaned up, Parker went back to the gallery to talk with Peters about the incident.

“Luckily he was super cool, and a good sport about it. He later came back and we chatted for a little, and joked about it the rest of the flight,” she said.

The two took a photo, and Parker told her he would never forget her.

"When he was getting off the plane he told me he’d never forget me.... guess that’s a good thing right? Most people never even meet their CEO let alone shower them with beverages."
